Today in History
History's Happenings for June 5 Senator Robert F. Kennedy was shot today in 1968 by one Sirhan Sirhan, in a hotel in Los Angeles where Kennedy was scheduled to speak. He died on June 6. The reasons for the assassination have never been made clear either by the authorities or, in public at least, by the killer. As such the cloud hanging over the murder of this Kennedy is reminiscent of that of his brother Jack.
